Pacific Northwest Raptors

We enjoyed a wonderful thanksgiving with our children and grandchild, so much to be thankful for.
I believe grandchildren bring a whole new lovely perspective to life. I am grateful to experience the joy of having a little one brighten my life.

Now on to the Raptors.
Harris Hawk
"Manwe" mature Bald Eagle
"Storm" female Golden Eagle
"Hera" immature Bald Eagle
Hera and her flight trainer.
Hera in flight.
"Elton" Spectacled Owl
"Bell" Saker Falcon
"Chinook" Red-Tailed Hawk
Chinook receiving a treat for his flight performance.
"Athena" Gyr/Saker Falcon
"Lady Grey" Pere Grine Falcon
"Bond" male Ferruginous Hawk hatched at the centre.
Barn Owl
And to complete the post, a full spread young Turkey Vulture, I love it!

I am still in the process of unpacking my belonging in my new digs and hopefully soon will be settled and back painting. I have an studio upstairs for painting and now one downstairs for working on assemblage pieces; I am a lucky gal.

The little chickadees are pissed off at Gerald and have been scolding him today as he cut down the big May tree in the back yard. I think we may plant a few fruit trees and berry bushes next spring since the shade tree is gone we may as well plant edibles.
Have a hug on me!

Absolutely beautiful photos, Teresa. I saw one of these Turkey vultures by the side of the road a couple of times. The first time it was picking up roadkill, the second one was on a lawn with it's wings in full spread. Awesome sight, both of them.
Good luck in your new place.
